I went out to a park and a woods to film more footage as I thought this would reflect the childhood nostalgia theme and I could stage a picnic for my video as well. I also wanted to get some shots of both girls on the playground to reflect the theme of childhood.

Colour Theory in Film

The psychology of colour in film, an article by Jon Fusco and Jason Hellerman.

colour can be experimented with through production design, colour grading, lighting and colour quality in different cameras and lenses, and colour correcting in post production. 

I believe this technique can be seen n the majority of Wes Anderson films. while the producer does use colour grading techniques to support his story telling, his production design is meticulous in setting the scene and conveying emotion and characters by mirroring the scene to colours.

some producers use colour as a signifier as characters develop so do the colours associated with them they may become darker/lighter, or become complimentary/contrasting. I may take this forward in my music video when considering how friendships change and develop as we grow up which is a theme in my video

colour is used throughout film making in all stages. Its organised and considered in pre production to compliment each scene as the film plays out. Its implemented in production by working with costume and set design and reinforced in post production by using colour grading.

a notable example of this is in the 1939 wizard of oz which begins in black and white, in Dorothy's 'restrictive' home and moves to use colour theory with bold and vibrant palettes once she reaches oz to represent thee whimsical setting and joyful setting.

Wix planning

 I wanted to create my website on wix so I went and looked at other music artists websites, to see what aspects I liked for inspiration.

This is a screenshot from Beabadoobee website and I want to mimic the cd covers, I think this would tie into the 2000's element of my music video by tying in physical media and the childhood nostalgia I'm trying to incorporate in my video.  

I also really like the David Bowie website and the idea of capturing different moments from filming and compiling them onto my website which would also highlight the band and the talent used in my video 

I also liked Miguel music video website and how it looks like a computer form the 2000s which fits the nostalgic vibe I'm trying to represent in my music video

After posting my first rush, I'm going to. do another shoot of more content and move away from both girls lip syncing and just having Lyn lip synching to build the narrative of childhood friendships I'm also going to film in a park and try to have a flashback shot to them when they where younger playing on the swings and having a picnic, I also want to include an over the shoulder shot where she they are texting each other and some shots where they're back to back with Lyn lip synching, I also want to try mixed media animation on a few of the frames.
